My name is Sam Amis, and this marks the beginning of my second go at my blog. I am a junior industrial design student at the University of Cincinnati in the internationally recognized design school known informally as, DAAP (Design Architecture, Art, and Planning). I'm a passionate, driven, and a well rounded designer who absolutely loves every aspect of what I do.
I originally started this blog 6 months ago at the beginning of last fall quarter in school. However, the blog wasn't really "me" to be exact. We were required to start a blog in Design Communications course at school, and I was thrilled to say the least; because up until that time I had thought about starting a blog but never really got around to it. But this was my opportunity to do it! Finally! And so I started with high hopes and great enthusiasm, but I had one major issue with blog part-1, it was too structured for my liking. This is not to say I don't like structure, because I definitely do, but blogs don't need to be forced and they definitely don't need to be structured by weekly posts. They can be much more or much less frequent than that, this is the beauty of a blog, when you are ready, it is waiting to help tell the world what you think and who you are. I really appreciate my professor for getting my blog going, but I had to start it over, my way, and my word! So I have deleted part-1 and now i move on to part-2 of No Boundaries.
I named my blog No Boundaries because that is how I approach most things in life, I set No Boundaries and have no limits, I go all out and put all I have into everything I do and everything I give, because the power of giving is much greater than the act of receiving, especially in design. If you can successfully give people a product that evokes a desired emotion in them, then you have done your job, and that is what I aim to do in my future endeavors. And seeing as I have No Boundaries, the sky is the limit for me. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
Sam
